Leadership & Advisory Committees

We have several technology leadership and advisory committees district-wide.  Membership and meeting schedules will be finalized and posted near the end of October.

District Technology Council

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, review, and recommend district technology policies / changes to existing policies
  • Serve in an advisory role regarding major technology projects and departmental changes
  • Participate in an annual technology program assessment
  • Carry out designated functions through a sub-committee structure:
    • Policy development / internet content filtering
    • Student programs
    • Parent and community outreach / events
    • Platform selection and standardization
    • Program and service evaluation

Elementary & Secondary Technology Cadres

Responsibilities include:

  • Advise technology department staff on areas of need or opportunities relating to the curricular technology program
  • Participate in preemptive and advanced technology training
  • Receive updates regarding current technology issues and plans

Apple Computer Exception Review Committee

Responsibilities include:

  • Make decisions on a case-by-case basis regarding requests for Mac OS X device deployments within the district.
