From all of us in the Technology & Innovation Office, welcome (back) to school! While we haven’t had the seismic technology shifts this summer that we may have had last summer in many buildings, read on to learn about the new and ongoing technology initiatives underway in the district.Continue reading Welcome Back!
Each year, I provide a report to the board that provides a high-level view of our technology program, through the lens of particular projects completed, underway, or planned. This will certainly not be the most riveting content I’ve posted to the blog, but for those of you who are interested, I’m posting a summary of that report here.

While the ICCSD offices are closed today and tomorrow, I get to attend the Iowa Technology & Education Connection IT Conference, a great opportunity to learn about topics related primarily to the operational side of our department, as well as to connect with and learn from peers around the state. Continue reading Spring Break! Time for a technology conference …
On February 14th, the ICCSD Board approved a purchase of hardware and software that will provide, among other things, application virtualization services. Now, on the face of it this might not sound like an interesting development, but I’m really excited about the opportunities that this will afford our students – and staff – to embrace the concept of anywhere, anytime learning.
