Background
In Fall, 2017, the district launched Canvas as its secondary-level Learning Management System. This platform – which is used by dozens of school districts throughout Iowa, as well as by The University of Iowa and Iowa State University – serves as the online platform for all secondary-level coursework in the Iowa City Schools. Below, you’ll find access links for teachers and students, along with guides and support links for teachers, students, and parents.
Accessing Canvas
Teachers and students can access Canvas here: https://iowacityschools.instructure.com/
If you are already logged in to your web browser using your district-issued Gmail account, you should not be prompted to log in. If you need to log in, you’ll log in using your district email account (@iowacityschools.org for staff and @icstudents.org for students), and the same password you use to access Google.
