Kara Ramirez was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to Iowa several years ago but is new to working for the school district. She has been learning many new skills in her position as Technology & Innovation Secretary. Prior to working with the district, Kara spent her time teaching pre-kindergarten and wearing various hats at the Iowa Children’s Museum.
Kara’s go-to karaoke song is I’m the Only One by Melissa Etheridge. Her favorite movie is Jeux d’enfants, which her husband described as the most French film he has ever seen. Unless Kara is really ill, then her movie of choice is the 1995 version of A Little Princess. Kara does not generally put condiments on her hot dogs.
